Originally from Poland, Iga is a film director and documentary filmmaker with an international spirit. She made her first short film at the United World College of the Atlantic in Wales, Great Britain, and came to Dartmouth to major in Film Studies. There, she completed a 16 mm short, "My Kite", and two documentaries: "The Aliens: Being a Foreign Student" (dist. Intercultural Press) and "From the Body Cage", a portrayal of the internal world of bulimia (Senior Fellowship Project). She received the Heiman-Rosenthal Award and the Sudler Prize for the totality of her artistic achievement at Dartmouth, and a Lombard Fellowship to make a documentary in India in Fall 2005. She has produced hundreds of special screening events incorporating, variously, key anniversaries of significant films, premieres of film restorations, cast and filmmaker reunions, screenings and lectures presented in conjunction with gallery exhibitions, film series in partnership with partner cultural organizations and travelling film programs, including major events at film festivals such as Cannes, Toronto, Shanghai and Telluride. As the producer of Academy Tributes and Salutes, she has overseen evenings honoring talents as diverse as Sidney Poitier, Bernardo Bertolucci, Stanley Donen, Jeanne Moreau, Michelangelo Antonioni, Harold Pinter, Olivia de Havilland and Mel Brooks, as well as celebrating centennials for such legendary film personalities as Fred Astaire, Greta Garbo, Gary Cooper and Bette Davis.
The Academy’s exhibitions are installed on a rotating basis in two galleries at their world headquarters in Beverly Hills, California. Additionally, exhibitions she has curated have toured throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia, to both fine art and film-related institutions, and a variety of museums. Several catalogues and other publications have resulted from these exhibition projects.
Ms. Harrington has also co-created the Academy’s Media Literacy Program, which for the last twelve years has provided in-depth film education programs for Los Angeles high school students. Presented twice yearly, these multi-day seminars have benefited over 10,000 high school students.
She also recently developed and directs the Academy’s International Outreach Project, and organized its first initiative in 2007, a visiting artist program and film festival in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, presented at the invitation of the Vietnam National Cinema Department and the Ministry of Culture. A second outreach trip to Iran in March of 2009 with a dynamic program of seminars, screenings and meetings between top U.S. filmmakers and their Iranian counterparts was met with tremendous international publicity, and the Academy subsequently hosted a dozen Iranian filmmakers in Los Angeles for industry meetings, film screenings and professional training opportunities.
Ms. Harrington has previously worked in feature film development for Dustin Hoffman’s Punch Productions (1991-1993), and non-profit film programming for the New York Shakespeare Festival’s Public Theater (1988-1990), under founder and artistic director Joseph Papp. She is a graduate of Phillips Academy, Andover, holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College in Comparative Literature and Art History, and an M.A. in Comparative Literature and Cinema Studies from New York University.

A few years after arriving in New York he ran into another cameraman who wanted to make a film on two farmers in upstate Connecticut. Ssing his experience as Production Manager at WDCR and my musical abilities (he's played the violin all his life) he learned to become a soundman/editor. It took them two years to shoot, edit, and complete the feature documentary, which still plays at the Farmer's Museum in Cooperstown, NY. The rest is history. Richter had already established a reputation as a successful Hollywood screenwriter: Slither (1973), Peeper (1975), Nickelodeon (1976), Dracula in 1979, and Brubaker (1980), for which Richter garnered an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay. Over the past three years, John has worked at a talent management company in Los Angeles where he guides the careers of several well-known actors. He is currently launching Torn Sky Entertainment a film/tv development company that works with writers and directors to develop and produce material in conjunction with the studios and networks.

Courtney Cook Williamson .93 is a writer whose life has taken her half way around the world and back. After graduating Dartmouth she worked as a teacher (with a short hiatus as the librarian for Sanborn House) in upstate New York and Connecticut before attending the University of Wollongong, Australia where she earned an MFA in fiction and poetry. Another teaching job at Phillips Exeter Academy slowed her down a bit after that, but she's recently left teaching to pursue screenwriting full time. Toward that end Courtney formed Materialist Friends Scripts with her partner, Brian Collins, in 2005. Their first effort was a pilot for a television series called "The Situationists" which was followed by a film adaptation of Penelope Fitzgerald's Booker Prize winning novel, "Offshore." They are currently at work on a romantic comedy based on a 1920's travel guide called "Paris With the Lid Lifted." Their goal is to write sexy, quirky, smart scripts for television and film.

Alix Madigan-Yorkin recently served in various producing capacities on the cult comedy SMILEY FACE, directed by Gregg Araki and starring Anna Faris, MARRIED LIFE, directed by Ira Sachs and starring Patricia Clarkson, Chris Cooper, Pierce Brosnan, and Rachel McAdams, CLEANER, directed by Renny Harlin and starring Samuel L. Jackson and Ed Harris and CASE 39, directed by Christian Alvert, starring Renee Zellweger. She also was a producer on WINTER’S BONE, directed by Debra Granik which won the Grand Jury Prize for best dramatic feature and the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award in the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. She executive produced Neil LaBute’s YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS, which was released domestically by Gramercy Pictures in August 1998. The film starred Ben Stiller, Natassja Kinski, Amy Brenneman, and Jason Patric. She also produced SUNDAY, which was released by Lions Gate Pictures in August 1997. The film starred David Suchet and Lisa Harrow and was directed by Jonathan Nossiter. SUNDAY won The Grand Jury Prize for best dramatic feature and the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award in the 1997 Sundance Film Festival. It also won the Critics Prize and The Grand Jury Prize in The Deauville Festival for American Independent Film in 1997. Alix started working in the film industry as an assistant to Alan J. Pakula. She has also held various positions at Avenue Pictures, Skouras Pictures and Propaganda Films. She currently is Head of Production for Anonymous Content.
