Steve Slanec has been working in professional audio since graduating Dartmouth. He began as a software developer on one of the first digital audio workstations and now runs his own business (www.slanecon.com) providing software to all of the major film post production studios. In addition, he has worked on or supervised the sound for over 50 of the biggest (and smallest) films and TV shows, including "Avatar", "Rango", "Gun Hill Road", and most Pixar films. He has also supervised the foreign mixes for "Mission Impossible 4", "Super 8", and "Cowboys and Aliens". He currently works at Skywalker Sound in northern California.
