Michael DeVries

After leaving Dartmouth I received a degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Washington.  I studied voice privately in Los Angeles with Adele Khoury.
My first professional job was in the Apprentice Program with Santa Fe Opera.  After deciding that opera wasn't my medium I began doing Musical Theatre on the West Coast.
In 1984 my wife and I moved to New York City.  My first Broadway show was CATS in 1988.  Other Broadway shows include, GRAND HOTEL, THE SECRET GARDEN, HELLO DOLLY (with Carol Channing) and KING DAVID.  I am presently in WICKED on Broadway as The Governor/Ozian Official.
National tours include, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, MY FAIR LADY, HELLO DOLLY, MAMMA MIA.
Regional credits include, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, James Joyces's THE DEAD, THE MUSIC MAN, THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, THE CRYPTOGRAM and A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC.
TV credits include, LAW & ORDER, SEX & THE CITY, PHILLY, THE DISTRICT, LAW & ORDER, SVU, ROYAL PAINS.
I also teach voice privately in New York City.
