Marva Ray

Marva Ray is an actress, poet, and spoken word artist. Following Dartmouth, where she received her B.A. in Drama, Marva went on to do regional theatre, performing with Capital Repertory, the Oldcastle Theatre, Women's Repertory of the Bronx, and the New York State Theatre Institute, among others. Her on-camera experience includes television commercials, independent films, and numerous industrials. Having once been referred to as a female "James Earl Jones", Marva does voiceovers, as well as dramatic readings on both the State and community levels. Marva has been recognized by the New York State Black Arts Festival's Apollo Night for her original poetry and spoken word skills, the NAACP for her community involvement, and the International Women's Writing Guild. She is a member of Actor's Equity Association
