Currently an MFA candidate in NYU's Graduate Film program, Lydia Chammas is an aspiring writer/director living in New York City. While majoring in Creative Writing at Dartmouth, she authored a 150-page short story collection, "A Quiet City and Other Stories," for her senior Honors thesis, which was awarded the Sidney Cox Memorial Prize for Best Fiction Writing of the year. As an intern for The Washington Post, she wrote and published two articles in the Style section in 2011. As of 2012, Lydia began learning the language of moving pictures, with which she has fallen in love. She has just finished writing, directing, and editing her first short film at NYU, and is looking forward to more adventures in filmmaking.
